BIPOLAR
FaceVideo Mapping 2026

BI - POLAR
The work explores bipolarity as the coexistence of two states within the same body.
Through video mapping, a second face is projected onto the model’s face, creating a presence that overlaps with her own identity. Two faces occupy the same physical space: one belongs to the body; the other appears as a projected identity, revealing a duality contained within a single person.
The image creates a tension between unity and duplicity, identity and otherness, presence and transformation. The face ceases to be a stable surface and becomes a shifting territory, where two identities can exist simultaneously.
Here, the projection does not simply transform the face: it creates a second self.
